What Are Good Names for White Cats?

There are so many names to choose from for white cats, that we’ve gathered together our favourite cat names. Here are some names to choose from to highlight your cat’s beauty:

  • Snowflake — Although “Snowy” is a perennial favourite among cat lovers, “Snowflake” is used less often.Good names for white cats
  • Ivory — This name speaks for itself and is perfect for a regal white cat.
  • Phantom — Perfect for a white cat; “Phantom” can recall a thin mist or even the enigmatic Phantom of the Opera.
  • Galaxy — What better to name your white cat after than a swirl of silver stars? You could also keep “Nebula” and “Nova” (from supernova) in mind.
  • Moonlight — The silver light of the moon makes a perfect name for a white or even light grey cat. You could also consider “Luna”; “Moon” in Latin or “Ambika”, an Indian goddess of the moon.
  • Starlight — Much like “Moonlight”, “Starlight” makes for a beautiful name for a white or light grey cat. Also consider “Anusha” (a star), “Asta” (”star” in Greek) or "Dannika", a Slavic word for the morning star.
  • Amaris — Meaning “child of the moon”, it’s the Spanish name for the astrological Cancer.
  • Eden — Recalling the Garden of Eden, a paradise, Eden has become a beautiful name that can be used as a unisex cat name as well. And, let’s face it, cat’s are so beautiful they do look as if they escaped paradise!
  • Blizzard — Perfect for a tom cat or a large cat that loves to play.
  • Frost — Perfect for a cat that’s a bit calmer than “Blizzard”.
  • Cirrus — Referring to wispy white clouds, “Cirrus” is a beautiful name for a small feline. You could also consider “Nimbus”.
  • Vanilla — The classic flavour for ice cream and steamed milk; “Vanilla” is a cute name for your sweet, new kitty cat!
  • Lily — Recalling the beauty of white St. Joseph’s Lilies, it’s the perfect name for a white Persian cat.
  • Jasmine — Sweet and beautiful, another beautiful flower name for a female cat.
  • Pearl — Referring to the beautiful white pearls that nature produces, it makes for a beautiful name for a beautiful cat.
  • Opal — This gorgeous gem can be the reference point for your new cat’s name.
  • Mithril — A precious white-silver metal found in J.R.R. Tolkien’s works.
  • Falcor — The name of the white luck dragon from The Neverending Story by Michael Ende.
  • Orchid — In much the same way as lily, the name Orchid evokes the beauty of your cat, while being a not-so-obvious name choice.
