We know how excited you must be to get you and your fur baby your new goodies, however please be aware that during the festive season, delivery times will take a little longer than usual. This is due to a higher volume of our orders being processed in our warehouse, and larger volumes of freight travelling around the country with couriers at this time of year.
Please be aware, that there will be some dispatch and delivery delays around public holidays. Please allow an extra three working days from time of dispatch, to give both our warehouse team, and couriers to catch up after some time away. Thanks for your patience and understanding with this.
You and your cats are of course our priority, and we have staff dedicated to helping you every step of the way. No – we can organise an authority to leave the delivery, so you don’t need to be home and the courier will leave it in a safe place. If you would however prefer to be a sign for only, we can also arrange this.
Its ok! Sometimes couriers will do a split delivery. If the remainder of your order is not delivered the following working day, please email us at email@example.com with what is missing, and we will follow up with the couriers to ensure everything to you as soon as possible.
We use a very comprehensive freight calculator to source the most affordable freight cost for you using over 4 major logistics companies Australia wide to ensure this. Your freight cost is calculated by item size and weight, as well as area it is being delivered to. Simply visit the product page of the item you would like and you can enter your post code to calculate your delivery.
We endeavour to deliver to every address in Australia, however some addresses that are remote or difficult to access (some islands for instance) need to be quoted on a Price on Application basis, but we will make sure we can get it to you – we have never had an order we could not deliver! If it is easier, we can always for you to collect from a certain collection area.
We use a great courier networks and on forwarding agents that usually know your local areas quite well. Due to the size of the goods, and the courier systems, unfortunately, we do not deliver to PO boxes.
From time-to-time circumstances outside our control will lead to delays in delivery times. Wherever possible we will indicate potential delays on an affected products details page. If there are any delays we will be sure to keep you updated at all times – we want to get your cat goods to you as quickly as you do!
While there may be slight increase in price with added accessories, it does work out much cheaper to order all your cat goodies at the same time, as ordering additional extras on their own later down the track will not be as cost effective.
You will be sent a dispatch email once your order has been sent with tracking and courier details, so you can contact them directly for an update. You can track this all via our online customer portal which you will get access to with your login and password via email also Or, feel free to email our friendly staff at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get straight back to you with an update!

If the words ‘flat pack’ and ‘assembly’ make you nauseous, no need to stress – we can arrange assembly for you! Upon ordering we send a work order through to an affiliate company who will allocate someone in your area to come and do all the dirty work for you! They will contact you when they are available to coordinate an assembly day and time to work for your needs.
All of our enclosures will come flat packed – all panels’ are complete, wire mesh attached and holes are pre-drilled. We have made assembly as easy as possible, and upon ordering you will have access to set up instructions and a video to follow along with. If you ever do have dramas – we always have someone online you can chat with for assistance.
You bet there is! We like to give our customers the best chance of a successful, stress free assembly, so offer both written instructions and an assembly video for your viewing pleasure.
While it is possible to put together all of our enclosures on your own, to make it a quicker and easier process, we suggest having two sets of hands available. As the old adage goes ‘many hands make light work’!
Just a Philips head drill will ensure the job is done in a jiffy!
All of our instructions can be found on our customer portal, along with assembly videos. You would have received a link to our customer portal with your invoice on order, along with the password for access.
We understand that a lot of our customers have a need to attach their enclosure to their house to ensure their kitties can come and go as they please safely and with ease.
There are a number of different options available to you, however it really dependent on your enclosure and how you are wanting to attach it to you house. We have some great examples below of what our previous customers have done, which should help lend some inspiration.
Wire mesh tunnels are the most popular option as it is relatively cheap and easy to design and implement.
If you aren’t confident in building your own, another option is to get a handyman to come out and quote you on the job. Just explain what you were after and what materials you are wanting to use, and they should be able to advise the best solution and price.
In short – yes! To elaborate, we cannot stress the importance of painting your enclosure enough! As our enclosures come in the raw timber form, it does need to be painted using a high quality exterior house paint to ensure it is well protected against our ever changing Australian climate. We want to ensure that you and your cats get the longest life from your enclosure, and painting is the best way to assure this. We have found Dulux exterior house paint works best with our enclosures and 2-3 coats will get you the best finish. Paint inside and out keep your enclosure strong and provide the best protection. Have fun with it, and send us through some photos of your creations once they are done :)
When it comes to keeping your cats safe, and any unwanted visitors out of your enclosures, we always suggest putting your enclosure on a base or footing, or using a flooring with your enclosure. This works to keep burrowing predators out of your enclosure, and will also give your enclosure a longer life by lifting it up off the ground and out of any moisture.
There are a number of different flooring options depending on how permanent you want it to be, and how much you wish to spend. Some of the most popular options are below:
Once you purchase a new Backyard Cat Enclosure, you will gain access to our online customer portal which details how to best achieve each of these options, and you will also get access to foundations guides for each of our enclosures, to outline the measurements required for your purchased enclosure.
To keep your enclosure looking spick and span for many years to come, we suggest painting your enclosure every 2-3 years. Like above 2-3 coats is best to ensure your cats will be house proud 😉
Nope! Our enclosures will be all ready to go with painting – no primers, no sanding – no trouble!
Painting prior to assembly is the easiest option – no craning your neck and popping your bank out to get into all the little nooks and crannies. Paint all the panels back and front, just be cautious of any sliding tracks for doors so they don’t stick when putting the enclosure together.
