The Tonkinese’s Siamese genes are evident in their typical pointed colouration that comes in shades of platinum, champagne, beige and blue. Add their sparkling aquamarine eyes to the mix and you have a cat breed that’s fit for the pages of a calendar.
Russian Blues are stately looking cats; they’re routine-loving, quiet kitties and you’ll only hear ‘em if they're really hungry or annoyed. Don't be fooled by that calm exterior, they can surprise you with lightning quick movements as they knock your wine glass to the ground.
The Ragdoll cat makes a great pet for apartments, and families with children and dogs. Be careful though, dogs may adopt your cat as one of their own, given its love of following you around, playing fetch, and receiving pats.
Persian cats are very placid, happy to sit on your lap or their favourite item of furniture for hours at a time. They are excellent apartment cats and are content being left alone, to greet you warmly when you return.
Tough as they sound, the free-spirited Norwegian Forest cat breed is gentle as can be. They are fairly independent cats and your cuddle-quotient, or lack thereof, doesn’t define how they feel about you.
